Home Wraps
Cast vinyl over your factory paint, cut to your model and wrapped behind every edge. Off again in a few years with the paint underneath untouched.
Wrapping a work vehicle? Business wraps are designed around your logo and colours.
Where to start
Cast vinyl. The flexible kind that goes round a mirror without trying to shrink back. Laid over clean paint and heat-set into every crease. Cheap jobs use calendered film and cut corners on prep. Both show up within a year as lifting edges, and both are why "wraps peel" has a reputation it does not deserve.
You do not have to do the whole car. A gloss-black roof, a set of mirror caps, or blacking out the window surrounds changes the character of a car for a few hundred rather than a few thousand, and it is the highest-value thing we do per dollar spent.
Vinyl has a memory. Stretch it around a mirror or into a bumper recess and it spends the next year trying to go back to flat. Unless the adhesive is heated past its set point once it is in place. Post-heating is quick, dull, invisible in photographs and skipped constantly. It is the single most common reason film lifts at corners.
Every one of these is on the shelf. Colour options change as stock moves — the colour library is always what we have, and the studio shows it on a real car.

+8%No reflection at all. Dramatic on dark colours, and it wants a gentler wash routine. Never polish it.
+12%Fine flake suspended in the film. Flat in the shade, alive in direct sun. Closest to factory metallic paint.
+10%Travels through two colours as you walk around the car. Divisive, and the people who want it really want it.

Leave it a week before the first wash while the adhesive finishes curing. After that: hand wash with pH-neutral soap, or a touchless automatic. Keep a pressure washer about a foot and a half back and never square-on to an edge. That is the one thing that will lift film which was fitted perfectly.
Fuel spills, bird mess and tree sap want wiping off sooner rather than later; they stain vinyl faster than they stain paint. Beyond that there is no maintenance, no polishing, and no sealant to reapply. The full routine is here.
Five to seven years on quality cast vinyl, parked outside, washed sensibly. Garaged cars go longer. If somebody quotes you ten years on a colour-change wrap, they are quoting the film's shelf life rather than its life on a car. Clear paint protection film is the ten-year product. Different material, different job.
Quality cast vinyl lifts cleanly with controlled heat, usually four to six years in. The paint underneath comes up better than the panels that were never covered, because it has not seen UV or road salt. We do removals whether or not we fitted the original. Bring it in for a look, because the price depends entirely on the film and how long it has been on.
Leaving it much past eight years is the thing to avoid. The film hardens and starts coming off in pieces rather than sheets, which is slow and therefore expensive. We will tell you when yours is getting close.
